On November 14th, branch members and locals visited the Firs Club for the presentation of their County Club of the Year (Staffordshire) and Regional Club of the Year (West Midlands) 2024 awards.

A bonus for those attending was the launch evening of the Firs’ annual Winter Ales Festival, allowing visitors to sample from a wide range of ales including Titanic’s Plum Porter Grand Reserve, Sarah Hughes’ Dark Ruby and an offering from the Firs Brewery itself (the brewery situated just behind a door, now that’s LocAle!).

This is the second time that the Firs Club has reached that stage of the competition, and so on to the Club Awards 2024, where Anna Reynolds and team were ecstatic to discover that they had also won the Super Regional Club of the Year award, placing them in the top four member’s clubs in the country.

We’d like to offer Anna and team a massive congratulations on their well deserved success this year.

As luck would have it, West Midlands based CAMRA members will have their chance to experience the Firs Club for themselves when the West Midlands Regional Awards Ceremony 2024 comes to the Firs later this month.
