There are now 12 different categories, with two additions from the original 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beer style categories now cover:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Milds<\/strong>: up to and including 4% ABV<br><strong>Session Bitters<\/strong>: up to and including 4.3% ABV<br><strong>Premium Bitters<\/strong>: 4.4% &#8211; 6.4% ABV<br><strong>Session Pale, Blond and Golden Ales<\/strong>: up to and including 4.3% ABV<br><strong>Premium Pale, Blond and Golden Ales<\/strong>: 4.4% &#8211; 6.4% ABV<br><strong>British &amp; New World IPAs<\/strong>: 5.5% and above<br><strong>Brown and Red Ales, Old Ales and Strong Milds<\/strong>: Up to 6.4%<br><strong>Session Stouts and Porters<\/strong>: up to and including 4.9% ABV<br><strong>Strong Stouts and Porters including Imperial Stouts and Baltic Porters<\/strong>: 5% ABV and above<br><strong>Barley Wines and Strong Ales<\/strong>: 6.5% and above<br><strong>Speciality Beers \u2013 Differently produced<\/strong><br><strong>Speciality Beers \u2013 Flavoured<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Plus two bottle-conditioned beer categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Real Ale in a Bottle \u2013 Session<\/strong>: 4.3% ABV and below<br><strong>Real Ale in a Bottle \u2013 Strong<\/strong>: 4.4% ABV and above<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the disruption of the last 18 months, it&#8217;s good to have the chance to celebrate the country\u2019s top brews. We need our membership to let us know which beers are the cream of the crop, so don\u2019t forget to vote and help ensure your favourite pint is in with a chance to win.
